As most of you know – we at Boyfriend love to play with glamour and edge – and one presentation we saw this FW season gave us exactly that.
Ada Zanditon is a London based designer who specialises in harness-like accessories that feel like an outer skeleton. This LCF graduate was given the opportunity to showcase her genderless designs at Fashion Scout this season, a big move for the designer but one which is thoroughly well deserved.
Adas designs have made it into some high profile publications, including British, Italian, Russian and Indian Vogue, Wonderland, Nylon, and many more (with Boyfriend being added to that list sometime in the future we’re sure!) and it doesnt stop there, her designs have also been worn by some notable celebs from Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, Caroline Vreeland and Elizabeth Lejonhjärta (specifically Drake’s video NICE FOR WHAT).
The focus this season for Ada was on pink as it has most recently been discovered as the oldest colour – this play with the ‘old’ and bringing it into a modern era with such futuristic and gender fluid designs is both innovative, and just down right cool!
We loved Adas presentation, we just wish we could have seen all the designs together at some point instead of as single model features, as this would have given us such a powerful look at the world through the designers eyes.
So the summarise, its bold, its innovative, its futuristic, its genderless, its ADA ZANDITON.
