Henry Moore – best know for his abstract, yet natural artistic interpretations – clearly provided a strong influence for this AW20 menswear collection from Alexander McQueen.
McQueen always offers sharp tailoring and a thirst for modernism, yet has always found a way to infuse notions of regality and naturalism into the designs. This collection does just that and more – using natural tones such as charcoal, camel, stone and mineral yellow, and playing with the contrasts between oversized comfort, and tight tailoring – this is a menswear collection that makes a statement, and feels deep rooted in traditions.
I think I especially adore the use of carnelian red, it’s such a refreshing tone to see in a year which is filled with classic blues – and I think I’m lusting too much after that ‘X’ oversized jumper in black, it’s comfort and style all rolled into one glorious design.

Another outstanding collection, from a brand that continues to innovate and elevate – long live McQueen.
