BOYFRIEND LOVES… BEAUTY GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

When all around us we see such unfortunate, abysmal behaviour in the face of one the biggest World health scares of our time, it’s great to see that communities are also coming together, doing what they can to help in this extreme time of need for so many.

From the beauty ranks we also see brands giving back and trying to help in whichever way they can. Find their social media campaign here.

Dr.PAWPAW is giving away 2 balms to front line workers, free of charge, they only need to cover postage.

We had so many messages prior to this mostly from NHS staff who had sore and cracked hands from the hand washing, and hand sanitizer that was beginning to affect their work and also chapped and dry lips from wearing the mouth masks on their long shifts – we wanted to do something as we know our balms help to hydrate, soothe and nourish lips and skin – so here’s hoping we’ve now managed to help a lot of front-line workers so they can continue to do the amazing job they are to keep us all safe through this.

If you have any friends or family or know any front-line workers that could also benefit from this please do direct them here: https://www.drpawpaw.com/frontline/

Founder of the Nouveau Beauty Group (Nouveau Lashes and HD Brows, among others) Karen Betts, has also decided to help by making the decision to donate her residual stock of face masks, gloves, hand sanitisers and disinfectant wipes to the NHS.

She, like many others, has had to temporarily close her business and doesn’t want stock of essential equipment like this just sitting in her warehouse, when it can be used by those on the frontline. In total she will be donating 100,000 items to support NHS staff and care homes locally and across the UK.

Karen is the UK’s leading name in permanent makeup, medical tattooing and microblading with over 20 years experience. A close friend of Karen’s was diagnosed with breast cancer and after chemotherapy had lost her hair and eyebrows. Wanting to help her friend regain the confidence cancer had stripped for her, she went to the US to train and qualify in the art of permanent makeup and tattooing. Now Karen is known world-wide as a leader in the sector, has an impressive list of celebrity and VIP clientele and works with several charities including The Alex Lewis Trust, The Katie Piper Foundation and Breast Cancer Haven.
