We wanted to showcase some individuals our Editor Aaron Mark felt you should get to know a bit better, and this week we introduce you to Photographer - Vitalij Sidorovic...

As we continue our Editors Introductions feature, we’re very excited to bring to you a regular contributor to Boyfriend Mag this week – Fashion Photographer Vitalij Sidorovic.

Sidorovic has been published in New Face Fashion Mag, has taken backstage and street style at London Fashion Week and London Fashion Week Mens, and regularly test shoots models for First Models London, oh and did we forget that he has been published with us twice?!

His editorials ‘Dont You Want Me’ from Issue 3 and ***Flawless from Issue 5, both of which had great responses!

We had the chance to chat to Sidorovic, so let’s get to know him a little better shall we?

Tell us a bit about yourself and how you got to be where you are today?
I started copying drawings of comic books and cartoons I used to love to doodle. This interest hasn’t faded away but progressed to Graphic Design. Then while at university I was working as a photographer in the club to make some money on the side until I have been offered to work for a fashion brand where my interest in photography just grew further. Now I am freelancing as photographer working within fashion and events

What would you consider to be your biggest achievement to date?
Finding my true calling in who I want to be and being in the city where I can make it happen. I think so many people sometimes settle for something that they not truly aspire to simply because they do not know what they want and discover this later in life or some never do.

What, or who, inspired you to get into the industry?
My first love. Whilst I was studying graphic design I fell in love with a girl who was a model at the time. When we started shooting together she was exposing me to the fashion world which was completely new to me, teaching me good styles, poses, naming photographers I should be aware of and all the other aspects of the fashion shoot. If it weren’t for her, my story would have been different

If you could give one piece of advice to anyone wanting to start in the industry, what would it be?
Teach yourself and let yourself be taught. As someone is starting out sometimes we are blinded by our egos or ambitions which can lead to many mistakes. So make sure you research, read, be culturally aware, develop and listen as this will reduce number of mistakes you will make and hopefully will help you to create a true meaningful work that is relatable to the people your work will be targeted for.

Have you got anything exciting coming up that you’re willing to share with us?
My next photoshoot. I am currently collaborating with my friend and make up artist on a series of images that is going to be a reflection of our culture and times.

We’re excited to see more work from this new talent, please go and follow him on instagram @vitalij.sidorovic
