Italian Sportsbrand Ellesse are bringing all the attitude with their new contemporary campaign and collection ‘For the Win’ showing us that with the right style, confidence, and attitude, you can always win regardless of the outcome.
‘For The Win’ brings back the emotion and power to this iconic brand, and reinforces their vision of looking and feeling your best. The campaign showcases an array of global talent including Game of Thrones actor and musician, Raleigh Ritchie aka Jacob Anderson, rapper Princess Nokia, director and photographer Margaret Zhang, US musician, rapper and songwriter Saint Jhn, Austrian model Stella Lucia and British model Kit Butler.
The new campaign combines their current AW19 products, meaning there are two central themes they are showcasing this season ‘Urban Tailored’ and ‘Urban Ski’. The collection takes a lot of influence from 80’s and 90’s streetwear, with bold and bright colourways, and classic adaptations of the brands logo, but bringing it into the current style climate by tailoring the styles and showcasing more form fitting pieces, making the whole range functional, stylish, and highly wearable.
We can see a lot of brands taking this 80’s and 90’s reference and pairing it with more modern day silhouettes and shapes, Iceberg and Liam Hodges have both offered collections that embrace these themes, but it’s exciting to see a powerhouse brand such as Ellesse show their customers how to introduce these style elements into their everyday wear – it’s about time we brightened up the streets with something other than fluorescent greens and yellows!
