LUKA DAY SPA & SALON – A HIDDEN GEM IN THE HEART OF SHOREDITCH

A while ago I had a lovely message from Luka inviting me to visit her day spa and salon – and with London Fashion Week coming up, the timing couldn’t have been better!

The salon stands out on Cheshire Street with it’s Sea Blue door adorned with vine leaves. This decor continues into the salon, with relaxed wicker seating, plants scaling the walls, and beautifully shabby chic units – it felt like it should belong more in Greece or Turkey than just off Brick Lane in Shoreditch…

I was booked in for a hair colour with the lovely Georgia (@airbrushmakeupandhair) who made me feel very relaxed and welcome and advised me on how best to get my hair from the dark colour it was, to a warmer and more natural shade.

Whilst we chatted and the treatment took place, I could really see the ‘instagram’ appeal of the salon, and can see why they attract so many influencers and celebrity clients. The day spa and salon boasts an attractive number of affordable services from hair, nails, waxing, facials and massages – and the treatment rooms downstairs are very secluded meaning you will be transported far away from the streets of London.

The salon and spa services are delivered by working industry professionals, meaning it’s a brilliant networking hotspot for working creatives, but also a fascinating place to learn more about the industry if you don’t work in it.

When the time had come to reveal my hair colour, I fell in love – whilst it wasn’t exactly as we anticipated (and hair colouring never really is so you do have to consider that, especially when toning up) I actually loved the end result more than what we had invisioned.

A big thank you to Georgia and Luka for having me – I for one will definitely be back – and my Fashion Week crowd all commented on how fab my new colour looked!
