As we enter a new decade, it’s not surprising that the runways are still reflecting on decades gone by. This love of looking back and using historical references as pivot points for the new decade will fare brands well, as the collections will feel almost familiar, yet entirely fresh and new.
Pronounce reverberated echoes of the 70’s and 80’s, from oversized suiting with large buttons, to silk shirts and acid bleach prints, this was a collection for those who dare to dream.
There was a new romantic feel to some of the pieces, but it felt fresh and current and not stifling and static. Take the red shirt and black trousers, it’s filled with drama from the oversized shoulders and shreds of fabric cascading off the back, yet the trousers are tailored to perfection and almost hug the model.
As a firm favourite of the new romantic era, this blend of new and old is exactly the collection I crave from mens week, and Pronounce delivered everything I needed from it.
