Tran Hung is OFF THE RUNWAY! Check out the imagery and show review here…

Vietnamese designer Tran Hung showcased a collection full of feminine and elegant ensembles that bought an end to Fashion Scouts SS20 programme.

The designer’s popularity has exploded in recent seasons, his willingness to look away from trends and focus on inspiration from his homeland of Vietnam makes him a unique name on the LFW schedule. Adored by many for his romantic take on womenswear, consistently incorporating motifs of nature, Hung takes the audience to dreamy places. From the opening look it was clear this show would be no different, adorning an embroidered crane, a symbol of love and eternal youth in his homeland, Hung proceeded to show a range of looks made from silk and translucent materials.

Each look offered something different, Hung’s experiments with the shape of silhouettes was key to this. The varying of shapes from evening gown to shorts kept the show enticing. Slogan’s such as ‘in every woman there is a queen’ showed the designers ambition to empower women. The blood red colour choices not only reminded me of his heritage, but also of passion and love, two things this collection felt full of.

For me the designers work was some of the most beautiful showcased this season, he stripped womenswear back to what it was intended for, to make the wearer feel amazing and is if nothing else matters. I for one cannot wait to see what Hung brings not just to the catwalk next season, but to the industry overall.

Here are the latest photos straight off the runway from Tran Hung SS20, at London Fashion Week.
Stay tuned for Issue 7 out September 26th for our editors full LFW review, but until then, enjoy the imagery…
