THESE ARE THE BEST DESTINATIONS IN THE WORLD FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE MOVIES

Are you obsessed and in love with the world of movies? If so, then you might be thinking about booking a trip that matches this passion. Here are some of the best ideas.

Orlando, Florida

First, you might want to consider visiting Orlando, Florida. While short on actual movie sets and cinematic locations, there are theme parks here with rides that certainly will make you feel like you are in the heart of the action. Some of these rides and adventures use special effects that have been ripped straight from Hollywood. Disney have moved away from this idea as of late but Universal Studios Florida are still bringing creations from movies to life. Generally speaking this is a safe place to visit, although dragons breathing fire can bring it’s own sets of hair raising moments, but thankfully according to a top personal injury attorney, the park is completely responsible for your safety and wellbeing so you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

Hollywood

If you want to visit the home of the stars as well as some of the greatest movie sets in the world, then you need to make sure that you are heading to Hollywood. Here, you can take tours which will show where some of the biggest stars in the world live or have lived. There are more themeparks here too including the Hollywood version of Universal Studios which does include a backlot tour. Disney has their own guided tours here too and the type of experience that you’ll get at these parks is often going to be completely different compared to the one that you experience in Orlandlo.

Hollywood is arguably one of the best places in the world if you are hoping to see celebs and movie stars wandering around, out and about, just getting on with their normal lives. It is quite expensive as a place to visit but could certainly be worth the trip.

New York

If there is one city that is famous as a shooting location, then it has to be New York City. Countless movies that are now embedded in pop culture have been shot here including but not limited to Ghostbusters, Home Alone 2, Enchanted, Sleepless In Seattle and Elf. New York is often chosen as a Chrsitmas backdrop and the latest Marvel TV event was also shot here due to it’s fame as a festive location.

An interesting fact about Ghostbusters is that the cast and crewe didn’t actually have permission to shoot on location. As such, the people in the background that you see in the film are real people who are reacting to the special effects and the performances that are happening around them.

There are many tours that you can take that will take you to some of the most famous shooting locations. These tours will also reveal some of the common myths and misconceptions. For instance, it’s widely believed that the opening for Friends was shot on location in Central Park. However, this isn’t actually the case. The reality is that the opening was shot at 2am in the morning in LA on a set that was designed to look like Central Park. However the fountain that you see in the show is significantly larger than the one that was built for the set which the cast ultimately splash around in.

London

Alternatively, you may want to consider visiting the capital of England if you love movies. There have been countless films shot around London over the past few years due to its unique place in pop culture. If you are interested in visiting London, then you might also want to consider planning to take a trip to the Warner Bros. Studios Tour. This exists just outside the city and it’s here that you’ll be able to see some of the real sets used for the Harry Potter tour. This is a magical experience and the perfect compliment if you have already enjoyed a destination vacation to somewhere like Universal Orlando. The tour will provide a deeper dive into the magical world of the Harry Potter films and show you how it was ultimately brought to life over time.

When you are in the city itself, you might also want to explore some of the guided tours that will highlight some of the more popular and famous shooting locations around the city. Pinewood studios is also not too far away from London and it’s the home of some of the biggest blockbusters that the world has seen including Guardians of the Galaxy and James Bond.
